This week I learned a little about my limitations. Don't worry, this isn't going to be some deep and meaningful blog post. Rather, it's about my lack of ability to function with pen in hand.
You remember? Pens. They're still a thing, imagine that.
As a part of some training for the day job, I had to complete an examination. One of the requirements was that it be done in pen. So I think, sure, no problems. It appears I am a victim of my generation. While we started out with perfectly well working hands, years of using computers, and other technologies have left my hand written scripting days over. Good thing my day job as a software tester doesn't normally require much pen work.
I can write my name like a boss. Anything else seems to be some sort of friggin' torturous task that is WAY out of my skill set. Now I have a weird decision to make. Do I attempt to teach myself to write with my hand again? Or do I just give up and clutch my laptop for dear life? At this point, the solution is...
