Tomorrow is Halloween, also known as October 31st. This bears mention because it's my last day of freedom.
Then it'll be all stations NaNoWriMo. 30 days, 50,000 words, and a full time job.
Wait. What?
Anyway, 50,000 words will spill forth from my little fingers over the month of November. Sadly, the day job boss won't pay me to sit at home, and write for a month so one must work around the daylight commitments.
While it sounds intimidating, I know I can do it. I did it last year. So, sure, why not do it again?
Last year I was working on Buried Alive, so it's only fitting that this year I'm working on book two of the series. It's currently unnamed, so I'll just keep referring to it as book two for now. I have a list of about five titles, however none of them have given me the head explosion moment that the title for Buried Alive did. So I'll keep writing until Nix reaches through my computer screen, and smacks me upside the head with the answer.
Nix is the focus character of the series. Kudos to those of you who guessed it. Well done. You can have a cracker.
This year I have managed to drag Vail into the challenge with me. While this will be her first year of NaNoWriMo, I have every confidence she can pump all those words out. The good thing about having a buddy for NaNo is I'll have someone to curse, and drink with who understands the weird head space of the month.
No? I'm the only one who goes off the deep end?
Okay, okay. Let the race to the finish begin!
