I Believe I Can Fly

Last week I went on a little vacation to the southern states via an airplane. I love flying. Taking off and landing are the best, but when you're up amongst the clouds looking down on our world it sure helps put things into perspective.

Trees look like ants. The enormous amounts of shade produced by cloud cover seem small enough to hold in your palm. Sometimes I just want to open the window and run my fingers through the condensation as we travel by.

Just above the downy blanket of clouds is the most beautiful shade of blue you can ever witness. It all goes on as far as the eye can see.

We live in an amazing place. What makes our world turn and function gets overlooked by day to day life. So when you get those rare moments to take in the planet we call home, bask in it's beauty.

Lastly I wanted to share a brilliant TED Talk posted last week by the amazing Chris Hadfield in where he shares his story of going blind in space and the epic things he saw up there in the void we call space.
