This Week's Inspiration

It's been a long time since I shared a little of what inspires me visually, so I'm sharing a few of the cool images that I've had the pleasure of stumbling across in my travels recently. I hope you enjoy.

Artist: Kryseis-Art

There is just something about strong women with red hair that appeals to me. I love the detail of her hair laced through the branches of the tree. Exquisite.

Magician by Hey-Em

I love the mesh of rotting flesh, studs, a top hat and the look of evil in her eye. A perfect blend of some of my favourite sub cultures into one image. This one screams dark voodoo priestess to me.

Witch: by MariannaInsomia

Mirrors are a fun object to play with in a fantasy story. I've taken a little inspiration from this one and weaved it into The Victorian. Haunted mirrors anyone?

It's no secret that I love cemeteries. The old gothic structures are my favourite. This photo from the Highgate Cemetery in London is hauntingly beautiful.

Next week I'll be in Sydney and I'm hoping to make a trip out to Sydney's oldest cemetery. If I can find some mausoleums remotely as enchanting as these I'll be stoked.

"Little Cemetery" by Restyle

Lastly is a little ring that I bought from Beserk recently. This Restyle designed ring is the cutest little cemetery I've ever seen. I have to say it's my new favourite piece of jewellery. What's not to love about having a little cemetery on your finger?
